My experience at your service
I am here to discuss the different circumstances which are
been helpful to a newly married couple when they are unable to become a parent.
Infertility has been viewed as a sensitive issue that to the inability of the
ladies to conceive a child several advanced treatments have been discovered in
this era of technology which is quite helpful to give them the joy of
parenthood.
IVF (InVitro Fertilization) it is one of the primary treatments for the
couples to experience parenthood and is a more involved procedure than “IUI” as
it requires stimulating your ovaries to produce eggs, having an embryologist
Fertilize them with your partner's sperms or donated sperm in the laboratory,
followed by close observation of any developing embryos, until the optimum time
for transfer which ensures only the best quality embryos are placed back into
uterus so that they can continue growing as with a normal pregnancy.
ICSI(Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) was introduced as a clinical
level improvement to conventional IVF treatments. It involves carefully
selecting only one single sperm of the best quality for injection into an egg
to achieve fertilization. This procedure is done using a high precision
technique called ‘micromanipulation’. The resulting embryo is then transferred
back into the uterus to continue its development as with a normal pregnancy.
Testicular
Sperm Extraction Or Aspiration (TESE/PESA) Each of these procedures
normally takes less than one hour under local anesthetic and men can leave the
clinic after a short recovery period with minimal disruption to day-to-day
activities. PERCUTANEOUS EPIDIDYMAL SPERM ASPIRATION (PESA) This is a straight
forward procedure that is performed under local anesthetic and involves your
sperm is aspirated from the tube that lies above and behind each testicle using
a fine needle and syringe. The procedure is carried out by a consultant
Uro-Andrologist.
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) If you have undertaken a previous IVF cycle of
medication, egg collection, and fertilization of embryos for transfer, you will
have been advised of the availability of any additional good quality embryos
that you may have requested be frozen in preparation for any subsequent
treatment. Your embryos will be cryopreserved (frozen) and stored on-site at
our clinic. Our laboratory uses the highly successful technique of
Vitrification to freeze the embryos and hence the survival rates of embryos are
in excess of 95%. The pregnancy rates from Vitrified (frozen) embryos are as
good as fresh transfers if they survive the thawing.
